IT Intern

Information Technology (IT)
Position Summary:
Provide exceptional customer support for computer users under a Microsoft-based environment. Use discretion and judgment to address and solve technology-related issues. Use knowledge and expertise to conduct research and coordinate efforts to solve issues by identifying Internal/External resources.
Primary Responsibilities:
  • Working under direction, provide support to desktop/laptop equipment at an assigned location for hardware/software installation, maintenance, test, and upgrade procedures.
  • Provide level 1 support for business systems and escalate for resolution where necessary to the proper teams.
  • Execute daily processes according to policy (backups, reports, documentation, and daily routines)
  • Identify, track and manage technology-related issues via the available service desk tools.
  • Work closely with the MCE IT team to solve issues and improve systems performance.
  • Ensure the accuracy of information and data available to end-users.
  • Test hardware and software, making necessary changes to correct any issues.
  • Provision new systems for associates as per the company’s established computer refresh policy.
  • Swap iOS devices as needed.
  • Use judgment to determine which issues need to be escalated to management, vendors or suppliers.
  • Support the Company’s mission, vision, values and goals in performance of daily activities.
  • Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the work area.
  • Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization.
  • Other duties as assigned.
Education, Experience, and Skills Required:
  • Ability to communicate effectively at all levels
  • Working familiarity with TCP/IP and networks
  • Familiarity with mobile platforms, specifically iOS
  • Hardware / Software setup & maintenance
  • Network Printer Management
  • Ability to work independently with little supervision
  • Strong problem-solving skills
